seems to not take left much of a cultural footprint, this one, rather surprisingly so since its talking points are still very much in fashion. I estimate Schweiger as an idealistic Hausbesetzer might take been also large of a stretch for some - but in fact, his propensity for stubbernness serves him well here. In fact the only two performances that ring somehow true are his and Sebastian Blomberg's: the guy who remained an anti-backer asshole and the guy who inverse into a capitalist one instead. Everyone else, including Löwitsch, unfortunately, is merely an artifact of very bad scriptwriting, and the whole thing is a terrible bore anyway.

On a side note, I couldn't come up with phonier looking "radical graffiti art" even if my life depended on it. I mean, this was 2001, and then they could've but taken a stroll through Kreuzberg or fifty-fifty Mitte to have a look at the existent thing.

Dies und mehr fragt sich Gregor Schnitzlers Was tun, wenn'south brennt? und bietet mit einem sympathischen Freundes-Ensemble eine unterhaltsame Antwort, dice irgendwo zwischen Komödie, Sozialdrama und Raubüberfall-Moving picture verläuft und großen Wert darauf legt, die ehemals besten und unzertrennlichen Freunde von einst auf möglichst abstruse Weise wieder zusammenzuführen und dabei vielleicht etwas an sich wiederentdecken zu lassen, das ihnen über die Jahre verloren gegangen state of war.
"Ihr seid nichts als linke Spießer" then heißt es in einem alten Lied von Slime und genau um die geht es in diesem Film. In den 80er Jahren lid die Gruppe 36 in W-Berlin eine Bombe platziert um ein politisches Statement zu setzen. thirteen Jahre später ist ein Großteil der Gruppe jedoch im bürgerlichen Leben angekommen...doof nur dass plötzlich dice Bombe hoch geht und ihnen ein Polizist aus alten Tagen auf den Fersen ist.
Schon die Anfangsszene von einer Straßenschlacht zeigt die Vergangenheit des Regisseurs als Videoclip-Filmer. Das sieht schon sehr cool aus alles. Auch sonst muss sich der Film nicht vor internationalen Produktionen verstecken. Leider hapert es aber an der Story. Das ist alles zu vorhersehbar und zum Ende…
Ist das noch Punkrock? Ich glaube nicht.
Everything in this movie is highly unbelievable. The only one who is acting properly is Sebastian Blomberg. All other characters are just "playing a scene" which is some kind of German language problem as actors in Frg ofttimes rely heavily on theatre for income or take learnt their arts and crafts in this field. Altough there should be a lot, there is no character developement whatsoever. The film leaves questions unanswered as it was a kind of way to tell the story properly simply fails. The soundtrack is and then off. I counted exactly 1 (i) punk rock song and the residue is soft pop / britpop in montage and trip the light fantastic toe sequences. Very unfitting similar that one leather jacket I bought at a flea market to have a punk rock look in my teen years - but I was definitly more punk than this picture and maybe I yet am.
Wenn Til Schweiger dem Kapitalismus den Kampf ansagt, ist das schlicht und ergreifend herrlich doppelbödig. Und zum Schluss möhte man einfach in das Gelächter des Schauspielgranden Klaus Löwitsch mit einstimmen.

It'southward i of those experience-proficient-the-gang-is-back! type of movies and I can't say it didn't make me feel good at moments. Its kind of similar an oceans eleven meets "insert early 00's teen cyber punk movie where at that place'due south a romance betwixt Ryan Phillipe and Rachel Leigh Melt."

Im really amazed at that place was no American version of this. It already feels so American, cinematically at least, they just needed to change the language to English. Til Schweiger could even be in that one as well.
